Chief of Staff Mr. Julius Debrah has renewed calls for the establishment of a Ghana Football Museum, emphasizing its potential to preserve the nation’s rich football heritage and contribute to economic growth.
Speaking at the launch of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Adesa Production Limited (APL) partnership for the Ghana Premier League, Mr. Debrah urged GFA President Kurt Okraku to champion the initiative.
He assured the GFA of the government’s full support in bringing the vision to life.
“A Ghana Football Museum is long overdue. Such a facility will not only serve as a historical archive of our football achievements but can also boost tourism and stimulate the local economy,” Mr. Debrah said.
He noted that memorable moments, legendary players, trophies, and other significant milestones in Ghana’s football journey deserve a permanent place where fans, researchers, and tourists can visit, learn, and be inspired.
The call adds momentum to ongoing conversations around preserving Ghana’s sports history and creating a legacy for future generations.
