Shatta Wale Hints at Forming Youth-Led Political Party

Ghana and Africa’s self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has hinted at his intentions to form a political party.

According to him, the two major political parties in the country—the NDC and the NPP—are dominated by “oldies” who, in his view, lack an understanding of the modern aspirations and thinking of the youth.

Engaging his fans on his X (formerly Twitter) platform, where he opened the floor for questions from the public, one user asked what could be done to address the concerns of young people in Ghana.

In response, Shatta Wale emphasized that the solution lies in building a new political movement, one that is youth-led, technology-driven, and focused on economic transformation

He stressed that with innovative leadership and the active involvement of young people, Ghana’s economy could take a positive turn.

The celebrated international dancehall star, who has often voiced his opinions on national issues, believes the time has come for the youth to take charge of the country’s destiny, leveraging technology and fresh ideas to drive progress.
