Veteran Nigerian actor and African screen legend Pete Edochie has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, during his visit to Ghana to launch the African Legacy Project.
The African Legacy Project comprises a book, a documentary film and an African Youth Mentorship Initiative, which seeks to reach approximately 500,000 young people across Africa.
During the meeting, Sammy Gyamfi welcomed the opportunity for GoldBod to support the youth mentorship initiative, describing it as consistent with the Board’s Special Intervention Programme and its broader focus on social impact and economic empowerment.
GoldBod’s work is also referenced in Pete Edochie’s new book, which highlights Ghana’s efforts to ensure that its gold resources contribute meaningfully to national development.
The meeting brought together two prominent figures from Ghana and Nigeria around a shared commitment to youth development, African heritage and economic empowerment.
