🚨ASEM OOOO: COURT BAILIFF SERVES FANCY DI MARIA, OBAATAN, OKT AND SHADRACK AS WONTUMI COMMUNICATIONS CONTRACT DISPUTE ESCALATES!
The legal battle surrounding Wontumi Multimedia Limited is gathering momentum, with sports broadcasters Fancy Di Maria, Paul Asamoah Obaatan, OKT and Shadrack reportedly served with court documents on behalf of the company’s legal team.
According to reports by Channel20TV, the development follows moves by lawyers for former NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, over an alleged breach of contract involving the four broadcasters.
The lawyers reportedly claim that the broadcasters received a whopping GHâľ12 billion in old Ghana cedis to work for Wontumi Radio and Television but subsequently left the media outfit to join Ahenfie FM and TV.
The legal team is said to have given the broadcasters one week to settle the alleged amount, setting the stage for a potentially heated legal showdown if the matter is not resolved within the stipulated period.
But the drama may not end with the four broadcasters!
Newtown and Akomea are also expected to be drawn into the matter in the coming days, according to the report, potentially widening the scope of the unfolding contract dispute.
With the reported deadline looming, attention is now turning to whether the parties will reach a settlement or allow the matter to proceed further through the legal process.
Will the broadcasters settle the alleged debt, or is a bigger legal battle on the horizon?
Stay tuned for further developments.
